Power-teK® RL 220 ALU is a lightweight Glass Mineral Wool mat (delivered in rolls), bonded on one side to a tear-resistant, glass mesh reinforced aluminium foil.

With thicknesses up to 300 mm per layer, this mat delivers a costeffective solution using a minimized number of layers. It is used for insulation of tanks, vessels and heat storage tanks with a service temperature up to 220°C, requiring strong thermal performance throughout thicker layers of insulation. It is usually used outdoors underneath additional cladding. ALU-facing provides additional weather protection during installation, minimizing the possibility of defects and enabling high-quality, long-term insulation performance.

Knauf Insulation Power-teK® RL 220 ALU is produced with ECOSE® Technology, a patented binder system, based entirely on renewable raw materials.

Note: Eurofins Gold and Declare certificates are valid for thicknesses up to 280 mm

APPLICATION
The product is recommended for thermal and sound insulation of tanks, vessels and heat storage tanks where:

• a lightweight insulation solution is required
• reliable heat loss reduction is required
• fast installation due to reduced layers of insulation material is required
• short term rain protection during installation is required
